Bristol Wood Recycling Project

William Street, St Philips, Bristol BS3 3DY·Bristol, England

About

Bristol Wood Recycling Project is a worker co-operative that collects waste wood from construction sites and businesses across Bristol, processing it for resale as reclaimed timber, furniture, and fuel. The project diverts over 1,000 tonnes of wood from landfill annually, saving carbon emissions and providing affordable materials to the local community. Members run a timber yard open to the public and a workshop producing bespoke furniture from reclaimed wood.

Mission

To reduce wood waste going to landfill, create meaningful employment through a worker-owned enterprise, and make reclaimed timber accessible and affordable to the local community.
