Technical help by OpsHelp
Technology your co-op can work with.
Get practical help setting up essential systems or untangling tools that have become hard to maintain.
Start where you are
We’re getting started
Agree the essentials: a useful website, shared email and files, clear account ownership and a budget the group understands.
An existing organisationWe need to sort things out
Untangle access, replace fragile workarounds, plan a migration or make a system easier for the next member to run.
What the work can include
Websites & hosting
Plan useful content, build or improve a website, organise hosting and document who owns the domain and renewal process.
Email & collaboration
Set up shared addresses, calendars and files with sensible permissions, recovery access and a joining/leaving process.
Member systems
Map the membership process, improve records and forms, and define who may view, change or export personal information.
Security & continuity
Review access, device basics and backups; prioritise practical improvements and write a recovery plan people can find.
Automation & AI
Start with a repetitive task. Test a small workflow or assistant with human review, clear limits and appropriate information handling.
Migrations & handovers
Inventory the current setup, plan the move, test it and leave clear instructions, responsibilities and support arrangements.
A clear piece of work, agreed together
01 · Understand
Bring the problem
Describe what is getting in the way, who uses the tools and what would make a useful improvement. Do not send passwords or member data.
02 · Agree
Set the scope
Agree priorities, deliverables, costs and responsibilities before work starts. An account inventory, a migration plan or a tested backup may be the right first result.
03 · Deliver
Make it usable
Implement the agreed work, check the result with the people using it and document ownership and next steps. Any ongoing support is agreed separately.

Start with an account and handover review
Ask about a focused review of who owns key accounts, how recovery works and where backups or handovers need attention. A useful first deliverable is an account inventory and a prioritised action plan. We agree the scope, access required and price before any work starts.
