Walsall Credit Union operates in one of the most financially excluded areas of the UK, providing an alternative to loan sharks and doorstep lenders with ethical, community-controlled savings and loans. The credit union partners with Walsall Council, local housing associations, and community groups to reach residents who have been excluded from mainstream banking. It also runs financial literacy programmes in schools and community centres.
